This business, this dream can change in a blink of an eye.

David Allan Coe was this last Saturday night. We had an incredible time, we were treated like royalty and I want to give you some insider info. We arrived at 430 to do our sound check, the sound company was really nice and respectful of what we needed. At the end of our sound check one of DAC's band members told us we could help ourselves to their catering. Crazy, we weren't even really supposed to be back there and now we are being given the green light. Awesome! I then went to get ready, and we got to hang out in a back area while waiting to go on stage. The show started, my heart was a little fluttery. You never know when your not the main act how people will respond. We opened with Gun Powder (My 1st of 3 secret weapons) and it all seemed to settle in. Half way through the set I couldn't believe how fast it was all going. We then played a MJ song, which in hindsight even though it was slightly booed was definitely a correct choice. DAC got to where he is by doing it his way, not following the path that everyone else took and being a wave maker. Well I may not be the hugest DAC fan but all I could think at this time was...well for 5 years of chasing this dream and well....my whole life of being ME I aint ever let anyone tell me how to do it, or what I should or shouldn't be doing. And, well I aint gonna now. So whether your a fan or not; Thanks DAC for being who you are!

We got to our 2nd secret weapon- Wanted Dead or Alive and I think at that point "we had them." Its crazy, how receptive people were to hearing new original music from a girl. It was SO refreshing to know that there are people out there who appreciate original music in Milwaukee. By the last song Wild Ride(my final and best weapon) it was apparent  that the girl that walked on stage that the audience wasnt so sure of in the beginning was the "right" girl for the job.

It was a very rewarding night.  I think the Beavers rocked it and I am really proud of them!
I absoloutley loved that people came up afterward, told us how great we were, bought cds, took pictures and wanted to come say hi! Every show we play small or large, meeting the people we are playing to is one of the best parts. So I want to say thank you to every single person in that room, whether your a fan or not I appreciate you. I love that you listened, gave me a chance, and clapped us off stage! THANK YOU!

We were also given the good news that night ......we nabbed State Fair. Since this dream has been dreamed I have had some very big goals I knew I had to accomplish, this being one of them. I am so excited about this, and cant wait to play there! This is very exciting, and I really appreciate the help it took to nab this show. So thank you to the person who pushed us for that!

As for dissapointments and things changing, I just got the news that a show I have also been looking forward to is no longer. Normally a show being cancelled wouldnt be a huge deal but it was kind of a homecomoing for me and I really wanted to be able to do that. Master Z's on May 1 was double booked so we will NOT be playuing that show. Its unfortunate but you gotta keep on trucking right. RIGHT.
Well enough KB rambling, wanted to keep yall in the loop. Its gonna be a couple weeks till Im here again but until then..
Dont Stop Believeing

FM 106

What a cool way to end a weekend. Listening to my song on the radio tonight was one of the coolest things to date on this ride. Hearing what 10 or even 100 other people were hearing at the very same moment. ME! Un describable. An aspiring artist always dreams of being on the radio, and every time no matter the circumstances its always as cool as the first time! I am so blessed and humbled by all the people who text, post, tweet and say Good Job to me. I know I am not great with spoken words, so I thought maybe writing a blog would be a great way of letting anyone who is even reading this know how much I truly do appreciate you loving me, this music, and this ride. Until next time. Goodnight.
Rock on

I used to write a journal when this crazy music ride began, and put it down for awhile. Lately I have been wondering why. I don't know what this will be about every time I write but I know it will be an inside look at my life, this ride, the music business, successes and failures, and everything in between. Come along with me, and see it from my eyes!
